My next figure review is of, the Kotobukiya's Candy Bikini Shanna. Shanna hails from the "Shakugan No Shana" anime and manga series. I'm pretty late with this series, but better late than never I always say. I'm only four episodes in and its pretty good. Its right up my anime alley, so I immediately search for any Shana merchandise. This figure seemed to be sold out at many different online stores and it was overpriced on ebay, so I just about gave up on it.
But the anime figure otaku gods must have heard my pleads. I went to a fairly new comic shop in old city, Brave New Worlds, located at 2nd and Market. I went just to pick up the new issues of spidey and to my surprise they now sell anime figures! And not only that, but they had one Candy Bikini Shanna left for 34$!! I had to pick it up!
Shana comes with a sandy base, her sword, and a little hermit crab thingy if you dont want to use the sword. It's a nice idea, but the hermit crab thingy was so damn small, my fat fingers couldn't put it in the base and I ended up dropping it on the floor. I still cant find the hermit crab, but its cool. She looks much better with her sword.

Shana is better with sword
The detail of the figure is well done and I like how they used clear plastic to convey her fiery flame hair. The only thing is that I wished they made her eyes more like the anime. In the anime, Her eyes are shiny like her hair, but the paint in her eyes just seems kinda flat.
I also like how her necklace, Alastor, is attached to her hair. It would have sucked if it was loose around her neck. I know it would have fallen off or gotten lost that way. I really like her pose, I cant tell if shes taking off her bikini top or just tightening it, but either way you cant loose.

All in all, im very happy with my purchase of Shana. And since there are a many different Shana figures out there, I plan to be buying some more.

I did consider both this Shana and the Max Factory one for a while, but I got neither at the end due to increasing lack of space from gunpla models, random books and military stuff.
Anyway thanks for sharing. Which other Shana figures would you be planning to get?
